I was born in England before WW II, I trained as a Mine Surveyor at the local Coal Mine and at Doncaster Tech. College. Marriage caused itchy feet .We left the area abd went to Saltash, Cornwall, workin for the ancient local council. itchy feet caused a move to Axminster Council in Devon where the carpets are made. Dislike of the Common market caused our emigration to Australia where I joined BHP at their new mines at Blackwater Queensland After a  period in Melbourne we,( by this time we had three boys)  moved back to Queensland at Mary Kathleen. then to Brisbain and Midlemount. Resigning we moved to Toowoomba where we went into business in the retail  trade, retiring in 2002 when I started in earnest to  write a book which  I hop you and yours will enjoy.
